  1. Look for a program that DOES NOT emphasize a large amount of weight loss in a short amount of time. These programs are notorious in using severely restrictive techniques that give quick results BUT the techniques are impossible to maintain long term which leads to you gaining it back, plus more at times. If you goal is to have a lean body, then the emphasis should not just be the pounds lost on the scale. The scale is not the only measure of success and a good program should not only focus on weight loss. A program should emphasize the importance on creating healthy habits, celebrate non-scale victories, and push the importance of enjoying the process of self improvement. This is what leads to long term success!

  2. Look for a program that is customized. You are unique and are unlike any other individual.
